Cloud computing and virtual server are not future technologies anymore

If you are aware of a typical networking architecture you would know that there is a main machine or the server and there are workstations that are all connected to the server. It is the server that manages the entire flow of information in the entire architecture. Whenever we think of servers we can visualize those large machines that are kept in a room with the highest levels of security. But not anymore because we have already moved to the concept of the virtual server. A virtual server with cloud computing can do the same job that a physical server can do but with enhanced levels of security that no one needs to monitor on a hourly basis.

Data storage is one of the main components of any network architecture. Take the example of an office where hundreds of employees work on their individual workstations and laptops and they store tons of data every day. Typically this data is not just stored in their own machines but in the server too. The reason for this is security. If one workstation crashes the data in it is not lost. It can be retrieved from the server. Moreover, the server can track and manage internet bandwidth consumption and ensure that it is not misused. The server also manages security where every action and command in every workstation in monitored.

Now what if there is no physical machine doing this job? It is possible and it is being made possible through the use of a virtual server. Today servers reside in the virtual world where they do the same job as a physical server but without the use of hardware. You may be sitting in an office in Houston, Texas and your office server could be somewhere in New Jersey or even in Bangalore. If you are not part of the IT team in your organization there is no way for you to know where the data storage is happening and from where the entire computer network is being controlled.

Cloud computing is also virtual in nature where computer resources are delivered over a network. The entire architecture of this service is shaped like a cloud and hence the name. There are different types of cloud computing solutions available - SaaS or Software as a Service, NaaS or Network as a Service or APIaaS or API as a Service. Virtually anything and everything can now reside on the cloud.

What is the advantage of cloud computing? The biggest advantage is that there is no dependence on hardware. It is software that manages everything - hardware and software applications. Today when more and more companies are saving money by letting employees work from home cloud technology has become essential. Since everything is on a cloud any data can be accessed from anywhere with the right kind of credentials.

Cloud computing and virtual server are high end technological solutions provided by top software companies. As you read more about both these technologies you will be enthralled by the possibilities thrown up by them.Find various topic on Google Plus, Facebook and Twitter.

Night Vision White Phosphor Technology

The new Night Vision images are now offered in a different color scheme. Instead of the familiar dark green hue, nighttime scenes are rendered in black and white. ATN Corporation, the developer of White Phosphor Technology ( WPT) , says the human eye adjusts much more readily to black and white night viewing, interpreting it as more "natural," than green. The company says devices fitted with the new technology provide clearer contrast, better rendering of shadows and shapes and better depth perception.

So far, the White Phosphor technology is only available on a few select devices, such as the PVS-14, but the company plans to expand the line. Studies show that nighttime scenes appear remarkably more natural in black and white versus the usual green. B&W provides clearer information about contrast, shapes and shadows. ATNs White Phosphor Technology provides users with this natural B&W night vision image.

Operators that tested units that use ATN WPT reported a significantly better degree of detail, overall contrast, full moon similarity and range of shades. WPT provides more discriminating shades of intensity between white and black than between green and black resulting in better contrast and depth perception then when compared to green phosphor NVGs.

The majority of the WPT performance characteristics are on par or better then the latest Gallium Arsenide based image intensifier tubes. WPT specifications include typical resolution of 68lp/mm (with some over 74lp/mm) and Signal-to-Noise figures as high as 25. In test 7 out of 10 users name WPT as a "Night Vision Preference" when compared with common green night vision, especially in an urban environment. Designed for Special Ops WPT is not a toy. If your life depends on your gear and you want to improve your operational effectiveness you should look into this system. A green phosphor display is generally used because the human eye is most sensitive to the color green, which falls in the middle of the visible light spectrum. We see more tones. Color is an issue because the rods(responsible for night vision) are most sensitive at 507nm.

The black and white view provides a greater sense of depth perception and more discernable shades. The reality is that these are Generation 2 systems. They don't promote the fact that their luminosity levels are very low. They can preserve the signal to noise levels by reducing the gain. IR illuminators can help make up for the low luminosity levels but only at a short range. An IR illuminator will make you visible to anyone else using night vision which is why the Gen 3 systems, which are truly passive, are such an advantage for our military. With this line of image intensifier tubes, the goal is to make a soldier feel more comfortable in the field with a more familiar black and white view. They are made for the European market where Gen 3 technology is not available.

New Technology to Prevent Crane Overloads!

Everything that goes beyond its limit is subject to vulnerability. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration reported that overloading accounts for 4% of crane-related deaths annually. The cause is mainly due to mobile cranes that tip over, collapse of the crane and the carrying of excessive weight.

Overburdening this machine is very risky and could result in serious injuries. This potential accident could cause harm and injury not only to the person operating the machine; it could also cause injury to people who are working on the ground as well as to anyone within a normally safe working distance from the operation.

 Load Detection Device Needed

To prevent and protect working personnel from the danger that is inherent in carrying excessive weight, a detection device needs to be installed on the crane truck that can monitor and detect the weight of the material. This will ensure that safety can be maintained throughout the entire lifting process.

 OSHA Capacity Ratings

OSHA states that a crane is allowed to pick up and carry loads in concurrence with the manufacturers specifications and limitations for the rated capacity of the crane in reference to OSHA Title 29, CFR 1910.180 and 1926.550. In other words, this machine is only allowed to carry a load within its allowable safe lifting capacity which has been set by the manufacturer. Conspicuous posting that is visible to the operator can avoid worker injuries and deaths that might be the result of non-compliance to the stated provision.

 Different Types of Detectors

There are several types of crane overload detectors that have been developed and designed to prevent the dangers that come from excessive weight being carried. These detection devices help in stopping accidents through the detection of any problem while the crane is being operated.

Load Moment Indicator - This is an instrument utilized to bring the cranes into conformity with rules of usage on their capacity to lift heavy objects. The LMI has a special sensor which monitors the actual hoist operation and the condition of its stability. This has been designed and developed to prevent excess weight with a detection ability that allows the operator to see if the hoisted load has reached the rated capacity. It will only show the actual data of loading parameters during the operation but will not make certain the hoisting activity is safe.

Crane Safety Monitor - A CSM is an electronic-control device which gives a warning signal to the operator if the load exceeds the rated capacity. A force transducer is installed on the machinery which will provide an alarm sound once the pre-set level is reached. In addition, a CSM is self-checking, which means it will determine the presence of functional faults as a result of excess weight. This device will prevent excess weight from happening and will surely protect operators from such hazards.

Dynamometers - A dynamometer is a weight and force-measuring apparatus designed for excess load prevention. It has built-in detectors for convenience and to ensure the operators safety. The main function of this device is to measure the mechanical force, speed and power when it is running.

Correct judgment and in-depth knowledge on the safe use of crane trucks relative to the operation of the machine cannot be replaced by any weight-detecting devices. Operators must have proper training for safe hoisting operations. They must also have a great deal of knowledge on the importance of weight charts that are required to be posted by OSHA and the manufacturer. Any overload-detecting device should not be completely relied upon since it is possible that it could provide inaccurate information or may indicate false readings due to unforeseen system malfunctions. Know how to use the crane properly  this is imperative!

New technology robotic laparoscopy and its health benefits

With technology being at everyone's fingertips today, people are beginning to learn about their health and themselves more than ever before; especially women. Women are gaining more control over their health and what options are available to them by doing research and staying informed about risks to look out for. By using your family history, along with listening to your body, you can help your doctor discover anything before it becomes an issue for you.

Besides just having a better knowledge of your health, it is important to stay up to date with the technology that is out there that may be able to be of use to you as well. There are many options in regards to certain surgical procedures that may not be as invasive or require much treatment afterwards, as well as possible a whole new procedure that may have not been around a few years back. Having regular checkups with your gynecologist is important as well to ensure you are healthy and that there aren't any risk factors you may be facing in the future.

If any type of gynecological surgery is something you have thought about, you may not know about the recent updates with regards to robotic laparoscopy type surgeries and how they can be helpful to your situation. If you have been told that you need a procedure such as colposcopy or even a hysteroscopy you may be interested to know that the procedure doesn't have to be as invasive as you think. There are new devices and systems that can assist in providing a minimally invasive surgery with a faster healing time, and less risk to other parts of your body.

When people hear about any type of gynecological surgery, they tend to imagine that the procedure will involve an incision along the abdomen along with lots of scarring and long recovery time. That may have been the case in the past, but that is not generally the case today. There is a new type of surgical system that allows a robotic machine to gain a 3D visualization of the area being operated on, and allows for precise movement and control with a incredibly small incision.

This new system is called the da Vinci Surgical System and can be used for many different types of surgery including hysterectomy, myomectomy, or even treatment for advanced endometriosis. Using the da Vinci robotic surgery system can make many common surgeries much safer for the patient and have less risks of infection which provides peace of mind to anyone. If you have been told that you may need any of the mentioned procedures in your future, be sure to ask about the new advancements that may be available to you.

Getting a Degree in Information Technology

The field of Information Technology encompasses several specific disciplines, including Web Development, Network Administration, and Database Administration. Information Technology has become a necessary department in most businesses today due to the prevalence of the Internet and computer-based networks providing the basis of all database storage and communications in organizations. Information Technology is a highly competitive field, and the best way to be competitive and realize your career potential is to get an Information Technology degree. And doing so through an online Information Technology degree program is a convenient and cutting edge way to gain the tools you need in this fast-paced field.

Information Technology professionals have become one of the biggest assets to any organization that relies on computer networks. IT professionals are troubleshooters when systems go down; they are lifesavers when files get lost. Information Technology is a hands-on profession that requires skill and training. Having an Information Technology degree will show an organization that you have the tools to help keep their networking machine running smoothly. And if you already have an IT degree, continuing your education is a great way to keep up with new technologies, and achieve your greatest career aspirations.

There are many advantages to earning an Information Technology degree online. Proximity is not a factor in choosing the right college or University for you. Attending classes and submitting coursework online eliminates the need for commuting or relocating, so you can keep working while you attend school. Convenience is another factor in earning a college degree online. A college may be able to offer many convenient sections of certain courses, allowing you more choices as to when to attend classes. Night and weekend sections of courses are usually offered as well, which is ideal for you if you work full time and/or care for a family. Further, if you are considering returning to school after several years, seeking your Information Technology degree online is a great way to ease into the routine of class work and projects again, and can reduce the pressure of feeling the need to fit in with younger students. In addition, who wouldn't find it appealing to attend college from the comforts of home?

Whether you are seeking a degree (Associate's, Bachelor's, or a graduate degree) or if you are seeking certification in specific skill areas, there are several options if you are considering receiving your Information Technology degree online. There are several online-only institutions that are fully accredited and offer many degree and certification programs. Accreditation is an important factor to consider in choosing an online college. If you have previous college credits you would like to transfer, attending an accredited college will be necessary to do that. Also, accreditation is beneficial for having your degree recognized by employers and professional organizations. Online-only colleges offer the benefit of a cutting edge learning format technologically in addition to the same quality education that campus-based degree programs offer, as well as accelerated programs for those who are in a hurry to earn a college degree for professional advancement. And more and more, traditional colleges and Universities are adding online distance learning programs to their curricula, so your options are virtually endless.

If you are worried that you might not be able to afford getting your Information Technology degree online, you have options. Some employers might offer to pay a portion or even all tuition and fees toward an employee receiving a degree. Also, financial aid in the form of grants, loans, and even scholarships might be available to you. Check with the particular online program of interest to see what financial options are available, since some colleges might not offer financial aid to students who attend part-time.

You might be concerned that earning your Information Technology degree through an online program won't provide as enriching an experience as attending a traditional campus-based college or University. Earning an Information Technology degree online can be an experience that is every bit as enriching, interpersonal, and dynamic as attending college the old-fashioned way. New technology of laser from Intel

Lets turn to the problem of constant growth of processor power. As you see the very first problems connected with growth of processor power are the questions of system memory and cache performance. Intel solves the problem with cache very simple  corporation has operating 20 mb chip SRAM which is piled with processor on one crystal and because of this it has huge bandwidth  near terabyte per second and even more. As for the system bus, it is much more interesting.

Its not a secret that the possibilities of solid-state circuits and conductors exhaust their physical potentialities. Thats why if processor power can be upgraded with the help of more complicated set of regulations, multinuclear technology and other extensive-intensive methods without changing radically the production technology, this wont do with conductors. You can resort to various tricks, but is not possible to increase the ability of the material to transmit electric signal from A to B with the help of regulations set.

However we should give due to Intel Corporation  in their last version of processors and chipsets the work with memory is optimized extremely religiously. There is no sense to enumerate all used technologies and tricks of engineers and programmers, which let to use the bus efficiently  an end-user doesnt need this information. But the consequence of this know-how became an attempt of system bus over-clocking, which shows that the interaction between processor and memory increases slightly. At least, the performance acceleration falls short of expenses on over-clocking. Scientist and engineers began to develop new methods of data communications  from experiments with superconductors in liquid nitrogen to absolutely futuristic attempts to create biocomputer. But Intel seems to be the first company developed the technology ready for use right now  the question is only in implementation and tweaking. At the heart of the technology there is denial from electrical conductors in favour of optical, and even much simpler  laser. The advantages of optical data communication are known for long time. Good example of this is fiber-optic network interfaces which are faster than any Ethernet. But up to now the main problem of implementation of optic at the heart of the computer with miniaturization of transmitter-receiver devices.

During IDF Intel presented proudly their new piping hot creation  chip of hybrid silicon laser, comparable in the matter of size with modern chips. Of course, laser power on this chip is not great, but we dont need to transmit information on more than several inches on the motherboard. By the way such downsizing gives possibilities to accelerate optical data communication in comparison with modern fiber-optic networks. On the other hand up to now the main problem of implementation of the fiber optic technologies was their transcendental price resulted from common complexity of production process. But invention of laser head in the format of chip and mass production let the price of one sample reduce to acceptable level, but Intel hasnt announced concrete prices yet. Find various topic on Google Plus, Facebook and Twitter.

Is Magnetic Power Generation Just Junk Science

I want to reduce my carbon footprint, but, I must admit that my incentive for reducing my carbon footprint is really a selfish one. I detest paying utility bills, all my utility bills! Our electric bill has more than doubled for our household in the past 10 years, running way ahead of inflation and eating up chunks of our disposable income. No more Disneyworld vacations for a long while to come!

In today's economy some families even have to choose between paying the electric company or not having any lights and, with the threat of Cap and Trade, look for electric bills to shoot up another 30% overnight. What can the average homeowner do that is not so expensive that there is no net savings? You could invest $1,000's in costly solar panels or windmills to transform your home into an energy producing green giant but how many years, if ever, to recoup your investment?

The new technology for homeowners is actually old technology that has been used by big companies for years. It's called a PMG, Permanent Magnetic Generator, or magnetic power generation.

The nature of a PMG, any magnetic power generator in fact, centers on magnetic poles attracting and repelling each other. As children we all played with magnets, right? We saw how amazing this is but, when harnessed into a little device, they create a perpetual motion device that can generate power on their own once the device is set into motion. Perpetual motion simply means the device will keep running until you stop it from running. It can run 24/7/365 with almost no maintenance. This is no longer the junk science it once was. New methods and technology now make it possible for the average do-it-yourselfer to build a homegrown magnetic electric power generator.

How does it generate electricity?

PMG generates alternating current (AC). This is free electricity that will power your home to reduce or eliminate your electric bill. And, if you generate more electricity than you consume, in most states in the U.S.A. the electric company is forced by law to compensate you for the excess power at current market price! Instead of paying the electric company each month you could be getting a check from them or, in some states, a credit applied to your electric bill each month which opens up a whole lot of ideas for some new electric appliances you can add to your home.

You may be surprised to learn that building your own PMG is cheaper and much less complicated than installing solar panels or a wind generator. Not only this, a PMG is not limited by available sunlight or wind so it can be used year-round in any climate on the globe. Magnetic power generators only require a few feet of space so they can be used in any size dwelling.

How much electricity can you expect to produce?

Well, just one PMG can replace the electric output of as many as 6 solar panels and/or one wind turbine which has to be mounted on a expensive tower. Wind and solar units also take expensive wiring or plumbing to make them viable. A permanent magnetic generator, when compared with solar and windmills, is a better bet simply because of the low cost and simplicity of operation. It makes more sense to gamble $100 testing a PMG rather than losing thousands in solar or wind that may not work in your area.
